All Bukh DV Solas approved lifeboat engines can be equipped with a cooling water heater for ships sailing in arctic zones. The engines are in conformity with the latest EU Marine Equipment Directive and SOLAS regulations.
But the cooling water heater is not part of the directive/regulations and it is not covered by the engine Type Examination Certificate.
